happy labor day!


did a little wine tasting this weekend at Blackstock Vineyard. perhaps not the best wine we've ever tasted, but it was nice to get out of the city and enjoy the Georgia countryside a bit.




inspired by a recent article by frank bruni of the nytimes and our visit to the vineyard, we decided to make some booze of our own this weekend. i dropped a few dried chipotles in about 10-12oz of vodka and just like that, 12 hours later, we had ourselves deliciously flavored vodka - perfect for some bloody mary's next weekend! if you have any other ideas of what to do with chipotle flavored vodka, please leave a comment on the blog! and go ahead, try it, it's about as easy as it gets!

  1. nice photos, dude. oh, and I'd say that you should add a splash to the mix when making mexican chocolate ice cream. would add flavor and help inhibit freezing solid.
